Footprints (Poem)

From the sky through a plastic umbrella
Words rain down again today
Words sucked into the ground
blooming through the flowers on the ground

Through the parasol, the sky is enraptured
Like an empty sea today
The overflowing words become sentences
And they become a river of water

I just look up at the empty sky
like a child looking for clouds
A river of words just as they are
Embraced by a vast sea of stories

from the head of the waves lapping against the shore
As thousands of years pass by
Emerging on a long sandy beach
Great footprints washed by the waves

Facing the empty earth
I wish to be one of those who leave their footprints
My hope is like the sky at the end of summer
Fading away quietly and energetically
