The writer Shizuka Ijuin has passed away.
I was looking forward to reading “Otona no Ryugi” (The Way of the Adult).
I thought he was a man who lived a very different life from me, and I sometimes felt something akin to envy.
As a lazy person, I will probably never be able to publish a book with a title like “The Way of Adulthood.
If I could, it would probably be something like “The Way of Weakness.
And among the gems of essays, I feel that I was taught what to do when a loved one passes away, especially how to face it, how to change one’s consciousness, and how to make the most of it in one’s life.
The best work for me was “Gingira Gingira Gingira Casual” which I provided to Mr. Masahiko Kondo.
May he rest in peace.
