Read Volume 67 of Kingdom

Do you think it is already volume 67 or still volume 67? At this pace, it may be around 300 volumes before Qin unifies China.

By the way, I started reading Kingdom only recently (about 3 years ago).

I didn’t read it because of my usual aversion to reading, but when I had to take a long airplane ride, I downloaded volumes one through fifty onto my kindle and read them all at once.

First of all, I thought that what is new in Kingdom is the presence of a heel in the allied camp as well as the skillful way of drawing the enemy characters.

In this volume, the story focuses on the worse (?) of these allies. The main story is about Kankan-ki. What is his background, his character, and what is he fighting for? Up to now, he has been treated as a bandit and a ruffian, even though he is one of the six generals.

This time, the purpose of why he continues to fight in such a ruthless and ruthless way, and who his enemies are were described.

Perhaps, those who have read the book think that the most hated enemy of Kan-ki is not the ruling class that has created discrimination but the middle class. They would have been surprised to learn that it is those who turn a blind eye. And I think they were more than a little moved by his words.

Because the “middle class” that he considers to be his hated enemy, in other words, nowadays, means us.

The middle class, or the masses, have long been said to be the most difficult to sway. In the past, intellectuals and cutting-edge intellectuals have tried their best to agitate and organize in various activities, but it is this middle class that seems to be the only one that does not move.

It is said that the French Revolution was the only time in history that the world changed through movement.

In this volume, we have learned that Kankaku is trying to do the most difficult thing of all.

The measures that he took to move history somehow turned out to be cruel and unforgiving.

It is somewhat reminiscent of the methods of Cao Cao, Oda Nobunaga, and Lenin.

In the real history, he seems to have faded away, but in the manga, we want to know a little more about what he is dreaming of. Such was the case with this volume.

However, the author, who never changes the tension and richness of the content from the first volume to the latest, is, like Eiichiro Oda, not just a man after all. He is even more of a monster than Kanuki. It is only natural that he is a creator.

See you soon.
